The English Countryside and More....

Fruits of Every Kind

Rosy apples hang from branches
Luscious plums so round and plump
Peaches soft fuzz o'er covers
Grapes drip goodness from above

Figs turning from green to purple
Blackberries in thickets grow
Red currants adorn bushes
Linked together one by one
Sour gooseberries my favourite these are
A blush of red does appear
As in age they grow
On the ground tiny strawberries poke their heads
Waiting to be picked with love

English countryside supreme

A smorgasbord of fruit indeed
Fit for a king and queen
Graciously given by Mother Nature
Helped sometimes by gardeners
Across the world

But in my English countryside supreme

Flowers there grow in profusion
Daffodils nod their lovely heads
Snowdrops so pure and white
Peep up from shining leaves

Purple lupins standing tall
Royal is their stance indeed
Foxgloves trumpet out to all
Come admire my wherewithal

So much for you to see

Robin in the Hood

And in the forests that run
Down the center of Englund
Sherwood of Robin fame
The Hood who won so much acclaim

If only he was here again!!!!

Righting so many wrongs.....

Little streams run through the trees
Over pebbles in clear water see
Dragonflies dart here and there
Voles arrive to stand and stare

Open Up Your Heart

All this and more for you to view
When visiting the English countryside
Fact and fable intermingle
In so many different ways
Fantasy will surround you
As you trip down lover's lane
Everything becomes so much sharper
When your eyes no longer covered
By the fog of other's opinions
Clarity your vision when you open up your heart
Letting all your loving shine

and so it is
