A Woman Rare...and Others Too

Rare Indeed

so much

A woman rare is she
For all the world to see
Her glowing face and tender heart
Shine out so lovingly

Through many lifetimes
She has come
Some very hard indeed
Others easy like a breeze
Blowing gently through the trees

Important not for her to lead
Rather follow the dictates of her heart
Ones the Traveller placed within
Caring sharing loving all

Another Part

Higher self

And yet a maelstrom burns inside
The part her Higher Self derides
Still being human as she is
Thoughts and feelings do intrude
Their sometimes ugly heads

Come from nowhere they seem to do
In other words out of the blue
Except for those that have been placed
By her very self

Over and over in her mind
They play a mournful dirge
What they should say
What I should do
Insidiously repeats these tunes

just give em up!

Laugh and Play

oh happy day

Refocussing is the game
We all can win at if we choose
Just as she does inimitably
Oh happy day

For her an attitude sublime
Takes her far from thoughts of mind
Transcending to another realm
Above the ones where mortal man
Exists in his chosen pain

Rarely we meet nowadays
But when together laugh and play
Infecting all around with joy
To see us in this way

Boudicca

Hatshepsut Pharaoh of Egypt
A beard she wore and Double Crown
Returned has she

Anna Boleyn she stole a King
Protestant Reformation to England brought
And now is back again

Mary Queen of the Scots
Let her foolish heart lead
And ended up without a head

Boudicca Warrior Queen
Romans she did fight
And lost her life whilst doing so

The Magdalen did what many women want to do
But frightened most of them
Yet not one stone was thrown at her

My story endeth here I think
It has been fun to write
Especially in the dead of night
