Songs of Love and Precious Jewels

Songs of Love

We see it here
We see it there
The sweetness of people
Everywhere
Dwell they do
Like birds upon a bough
Ready to sing a song of love
Anywhere they can

Trilling forth a melody
Enticing all to come and play
In the fields of the Lord
Day and night
Night and day

Angels Voices

She came to me on one fine day
And placed a ring into my hand
A diamond it was all glittery white
At its heart an angel sang

Notes of pure joy wafted through
Spaces empty of all sound
Now filled were they with music sublime
Angelic voices so divine

A Visitor

I gazed upon the ring so rare
And fell into its silvery depths
I found myself in a land so fair
Precious jewels scattered everywhere

The streets were lined with candy floss
Sugary pink and mauves so fine
The houses painted aquamarine
Lapis lazuli their front doors lined

Opal the latticed windows were
Curtains of amethyst hung there
Behind them young girls did peek
Wondering who would come to call

The Fair Place

I wandered through this joyous place
In wonderment at every turn
My eyes would light on some precious jewel
Gem or person it mattered not
For all glowed with a special light
From within without

You too can venture to this fair place
It dwells less than a breath away
Never doubt yourself in any way
Know within your reach it lies

as it truly does
