Akhenaten was the first Egyptian Pharaoh to recognize the One God and built a city he did. His beautiful wife Nefertiti was a great lady of that time...this is just a little about them and the glorious country of Egypt. Miles Davis plays his doleful dirge to Nefertiti.....enjoyt

- Nefertiti the Beauteous One...
In cool cavernous palaces she stood in utmost power
Together with Akhnaten Pharaoh of that great and wondrous country on the Nile
Overturned had they the old sanctimonious ways of many gods
And now the One alone would rule
This scene is set when Nefertiti was the Queen
So beautiful to all she seemed
And was
Her shining features reflected the sun
Whose beams upon her did fall
Illuminating all
Akhnaten a wayshower was he who knew the trueness of what could be
When only One would worship they
The Sun God the mighty One from whence all loving did come
To be returned in so many ways In joy and enthusiasm

Down the Nile
Down the Nile the barque did sail eddies of soft water reached the banks
The workers of the land came they in wonder to stare
At the Queen of Egypt floating by
She held her head high and all around her neck were placed
Bands of turquoise coral and the sacred Ank
Her toes gleamed with silver paint as did her fingers too
Her beauty mesmerizing all
The golden barque sailed between banks of papyrus brown
Set against the pastures green where grew the bounty of the land
Soft sweeps of desert sand touched not upon the shores
Held back by inundations every year the bounty Mother Nile
Did give to those who were her own

Priests of Amun Ra
The priests of Amun Ra hid their rage behind their black kohl eyes
They knew their power taken away and of the many gods at whose feet they worshipped
They knew one day revenge would come and bided they their time
Intrigue their game and this they did in Heliopolis
Away from the blinding gaze of Aten who saw all
And knew the deepest secrets of men
Blazoned in full duplicity upon their faces
Just like it is today

The Great Sun Disc
A strange and mystical Pharaoh was he this man once known as Amenhotep the 1V of that dynasty
His mother a teacher of new ideas installed them did she in her son's mind
Till one day inside of him did see the mighty Disc of the Sun and then he knew
The Oneness of all that could ever be
And would be true
He knew the wholeness of the Mighty One that included Father Son
The Christed form again did come
The Whole Spirit too
No more the devious ways and corrupted views of priests who for their own ends drew
All to them ways of manipulation and greed though some a saving grace had they
In true belief worshipped
but not many of them

The Germination of Seeds
And so this did come about and thus the seeds were sown
Upon which ideas could germinate and grow
Into the deeper knowing within
Not too long afterwards deposed were they the mighty Pharaoh of that day
His family and followers too
It matters not for all is perfect in its procession through time
Each age giving way to the next and all the teachings that emerge
And ruins to be dug up observed.....
and so it is
