We do it all the time
Mayhap in verse
Sometimes in rhyme
They call it poetry

I prefer the written words

Draws them in random ways

They land somehow as poetry
Sometimes as written verse
If message of good will intend
Or as a brilliant pallette enjoy
All colours of rainbow ensue
A humming sound from heart
Can change vibration
It just depends on who
Lifting you to a higher place inside

Fame

reading oh oh oh

Reams of words can then become
A book of mighty prose
Intrigue love or children's tale
Whichever you suppose
Carry will the message you bring forth
To share

Some writers make it to the top
Their name a household word
Shakespeare did this
Plato too
Nowadays its Wilbur Smith or even JKR
Whose Harry Potter became a name
Known worldwide
Such instant fame

Over again

books and books and books....

If this is what you want from life
Then sit you down again
Rewrite your words a hundred times
Over and over
Till so tired you become
Throw it up into the air
Waiting to see what lands
I hope your editor will enjoy
Your hard work and intent
If not then sit you down

Start all over once more
This time to crack the golden egg
That stares at you from afar
Beckoning you to come and stay
Play in the Garden of many delights

Acknowledgement in many forms
Some monetarily
Others your ego feed
Knowing that you have success
As an author recognized

as it will be maybe!!!!

Little people all in a row
Can count on my fingers

Maybe there are more

The first is one
Who loves to bang about upstairs
Noisy for sure
Clattering high heels

Oh dear me.....

Second the one who loves to scrawl
Inane writings on my page
I often wonder why
Perhaps looking for acclaim
More recognition in the world
What a shame......

How about number three
Late at night her laundry does
Waking all around
Noise of machine profound
Dog barking madly too
I wonder why....,

Then the ones who on the road
Do drive
Texting madly everyone
Not even watching where they go
A hundred deaths I suffer every day
Much to my surprise.....

Then the maidens
Fair they seem
The outer such illusion be
Long blond hair and spindly legs
Carrying them further into hell
Or so it seems

Soft fat men each everyone
Bulging stomachs
Overeat they do
All the garbage food prepared for them
You see them everywhere you go

Seven and....

sour lemons

Seven the number doth describe certain people
Some I know too
Whose mothers taught them naught
But how to take and take some more
Eternal taking for sure
Never learned have they
Respect responsibility
Not words known much anymore

Do not want to go on anymore with this stuff
It takes me and maybe you into a place of negatiivity
My critics then will chortle
Look at her she can be like me
Sour like a lemon

Why not I say
We all wear many hats
Facets of diamonds
Turning round and round
Alighting wherever they be
I too can do this
In my own inimitable way
