The attire of angels bright
So are we told in picture books

Symbolic all these may be
Halos high the Soul lofty
Reaching into spirituality
Wings that fly up in the air
Just like our thoughts go here and there

The flaming sword could represent
Our changing feelings so intense
Useful sometimes oft otherwise
Take over they our lives
Lost we get in emotions wild
Blinding us to reality

Getting Through the Gates

Reflect if you will upon the words above
In mind's eye let picture open up for you
See the Angel at the Gate
Perhaps you can pass by

Most will need to overcome their doubt
That this could ever be
Feelings inconsequential are
Acceptance the only key
Accepting possibility
That anger fear and worry the Angels way
To stop you entering
Polluting the perfect place within

But when you change
Loving become
Loving all that comes your way
Then the Gates do open wide
Your Garden of Eden perfect is
The Inner KIngdom there to see

And Where Do You Think You Go.....
And So Where Find You Yourself

If This Could Be

a flower opening its petals

When all is said and all is done
What is left
Do you really want to know?
You think yourself wise and knowledgeable
A most enlightened one
School college you did attend
University for some of you
There you met with others of like mind
Sometimes

Strange unknowings filled your head
As if to quench a thirst for what
You never knew
Or thought could ever exist
And if they did where would be found
Pie in the sky
Or buried underground

And Where Do You Think You Go.....

Eternal searching on and on..

From day to day your brain grew large
Filled with junk of every kind
What teachers friends and family shared
They too in endless search for what
They never knew

Eternal searching on and on
You came and went again again
Sometimes you stopped to watch birds fly
At night a sparkling star
High up in the flowering firmanent

We sit here on a precious thrones
Or in our cars our motor homes
And gaze out at people passing by
Hurrying scurrying running fast
To get to who knows where or why
All that beckons is the grave
For those who know no other way
